The SLS1508 is a SIL 3-certified safety logic solver, which can be used to implement various safety functions including emergency shutdown, fire and gas detection, interlock logic, steam turbine overspeed protection, and compressor surge protection. Based on the DeltaV SIS (Safety Instrumented System) process safety system, it is equipped with dual CPUs and 16 flexibly configurable I/O channels. It supports HART and discrete signals, and optical isolation is adopted between channels with an isolation voltage of up to 1500V DC. This logic solver operates in the form of a redundant pair, with no distinction between master and slave units. It enables disturbance-free fault switching and supports online replacement. In terms of communication, it uses a local peer-to-peer bus (SISNet) and an optical fiber remote ring network to ensure data synchronization and redundancy. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 70°C, and the humidity requirement is 0% to 95% (non-condensing). Additionally, it has a processing capacity of 600MHz and 256MB of memory, along with 2 Ethernet ports and 2 RS-485 communication ports.
