MTL The MTL7706+ is a single-channel shunt diode safety barrier, part of the MTL7700 series. The following is a brief introduction: - **Features**: With overvoltage protection, each channel includes two pulse-detecting Zener or forward-connected diodes and a terminating resistor. The diodes limit the voltage reaching the hazardous area in the event of an electrical fault within the safe zone, while the resistors provide current limiting. A fuse protects the diodes. The two-stage voltage limiting function ensures continuous protection even if any stage fails. This barrier can transmit smart transmitter signals up to 10 kHz and can pass any frequency signal in the output direction. - **Operating Voltage**: The supply voltage range is 20-35 VDC. Typical operating current is 45 mA (at 24 VDC, 20 mA load), and maximum operating current is 60 mA (at 20 VDC, 20 mA load). - **Output Signal and Load**: Outputs a 4-20 mA signal with a load resistance of 0-500 Ω. When the load is 250Ω, the transmitter voltage is 16.2V @ 20mA (negative relative to ground); when the load is 500Ω, the transmitter voltage is 11.0V @ 20mA (negative relative to ground). - **Accuracy and Temperature Range**: Accuracy is ±2μA (under all conditions). Operating temperature range is -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F), and storage temperature range is -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F). - **Mounting Method**: DIN rail mountable, providing reliable intrinsically safe grounding. - **Applications**: Suitable for hazardous areas.
