The diodes limit the voltage reaching the hazardous area in the event of an electrical fault within the safe zone, while the resistors provide current limiting. Additionally, a fuse-protected diode provides two-level voltage limiting. This maintains the signal's "ungrounded" nature, providing a "floating" signal at the receiver input. It effectively shields against common-mode AC and DC interference signals up to at least 7V and is unaffected by ground faults in the primary component. - **Operating Voltage**: The supply voltage range is 20-35VDC. The typical operating current is 45mA (at 24VDC, 20mA load), and the maximum operating current is 60mA (at 20VDC, 20mA load). - **Safety Parameters**: Maximum safe zone voltage is 250VAC/VDC, maximum safe zone load is 500Ω, and fuse rating is 50mA.
