MTL safety barrier MTL4514 is a single-channel switch input isolation barrier in the MTL4500 series. The following is its detailed introduction:

• Features: Support switch / The proximity switch input features line fault detection (LFD) to detect open or short circuits in the field wiring. The module also includes a phase reversal function, selectable via an internal setting. The output utilizes single-pole, double-throw relay contacts, enabling safe-zone loads to be controlled via a hazardous-zone switch or proximity switch.

• Technical Parameters: The operating voltage is typically 20-35V DC, and the maximum input current is 50mA. When the input resistance is less than 250Ω, an open circuit alarm will be issued; when the input resistance is greater than 360Ω, a short circuit alarm will be issued.

• Installation method: The safety barrier is installed in a base plate style with a thickness of 16 mm. The base plate has a variety of options, including 4, 8, 16, and 24 components. A new mounting clip is used between the safety barrier and the base plate, which allows for quick installation/removal without any tools.

• Application Fields: It is suitable for industrial fields with explosive hazardous environments such as petroleum, chemical, and metallurgy, and can ensure the safety and reliability of switch signal transmission between hazardous areas and safe areas.
