The MTL safety barrier MTL4546Y is a single-channel isolated analog safety barrier, belonging to the MTL4000 series. The following is its detailed introduction:

• Technical Parameters: The open-circuit current is less than 0.5mA. When the load resistance is less than 50Ω or greater than 800Ω, the line detection function is triggered and the safety barrier resistance becomes 100kΩ. At the same time, the loop current is limited to less than 0.9mA.

• Installation method: Use base plate installation, the base plate can be installed on a flat surface or on a guide rail. The safety barrier is only 16mm thick, and the base plate has a variety of options such as 4, 8, 16, and 24 components. It can be directly connected to some DCS I/O cards through multi-core plugs and cables.

• Application Areas: Mainly used in valve positioning and control in industrial automation systems. It can achieve isolation and transmission of analog signals in hazardous areas in industries with explosive environments such as petroleum, chemical, and metallurgy.
