MTL safety barrier MTL5018 is a dual-channel switch / NAMUR signal input safety barrier in the MTL5000 series. The following is its detailed introduction:

• Functional Features: As a limited energy interface between field devices and control room equipment, it can ensure that the energy transmitted to the field equipment is intrinsically safe regardless of whether the control room equipment is in normal or faulty state.

• Signal processing: It can receive switch quantities or NAMUR signals in hazardous areas, and transmit them to safe areas after isolation and other processing. It is suitable for connecting various switch sensors or actuators.

• Internal structure: It has 2 solid-state relays with a working voltage of 380V and a working current of 5A. Each relay has a set of contacts.

• Power supply method: Usually 24VDC power supply is used.

• Installation method: It adopts clamp-type installation and can be quickly installed on a 35mm standard DIN rail. Simple plug-in terminal blocks are used for wiring in safe and hazardous areas.

• Application Fields: Widely used in chemical, petroleum, metallurgy, electric power and other industrial fields that require electrical isolation and intrinsic safety protection.
